Some of the PA tax monies that Israel has frozen are being used for a good cause: to pay up Israeli creditors to which the PA owes money. The Finance Ministry transferred 170 million shekels to the Electric Company over the past few months, 50 million to hospitals, and 4 million to the Agriculture Ministry. Mekorot Water Company receives a varying amount each month. The information was publicized in response to a Knesset query by MK Uri Ariel (National Union).
