A long gun battle raged this afternoon in the area of N\'vei Dekalim, in Gush Katif, Gaza. A Jewish bus was hit by Palestinian gunfire, but no one was hurt. The industrial zone there was closed, and residents have been asked not to approach it. Meanwhile, a bit further south near the community of Gadid, IDF soldiers thwarted a Palestinian attempted to carry out a terrorist attack on an IDF outpost.



Not far from where Tzachi Sasson was murdered last night, more Palestinian fire was shot on the Tunnels Highway, hitting an Israeli bus; no one was hurt, but the road was closed. Hevron Palestinians shot this afternoon at Beit Hadassah - a Jewish residential building not far from the Machpelah Cave. Arabs also shot at Bezek Base near Jenin. No one was hurt in the incidents.



This morning, a bomb exploded in the area of the greenhouses of Morag, south of Gush Katif - apparently designated to kill the soldiers of the IDF patrol whose route passes by the site. Israeli forces fired on the terrorists as they attempted to escape towards the PA city of Khan Yunis. A second bomb in the area was found and safely dismantled in the afternoon. During a three-hour gunfight south of Ramallah this morning, an Israeli-Arab was shot and killed; he approached the checkpoint and did not respond to army calls to stop; he continued driving even after shots were fired in the air and at his tires. Col. Ilan Paz, Binyamin Region Commander, is investigating the incident. Another violent riot took place in Al-Hader, just north of Efrat and Gush Etzion, where dozens of Arabs attacked soldiers. The latter shot rubber bullets in an attempt to control the mob, killing one and wounding two.



Palestinians fired at Israeli locations in several other locations last night - including the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem, where two cars and an apartment were damaged; Rachel’s Tomb; an outpost near Jenin; Psagot; the Ofer army base; and in Gaza.



An undercover Mista\'rvim force of the IDF arrested six Arabs at the A-Ram junction in northern Jerusalem today, on suspicion of having thrown firebombs and large rocks at Israeli targets.
