Israel's Zaka volunteers - who are often first on the scene of a terror attack, ensuring a proper burial for victims in accordance with Jewish law and offering emergency medical treatment when necessary - apparently don't only deal with death. This week, a young girl from Emanuel named Mazal who had been in a coma since mid-July, finally came out of it. She had been wounded in the terrorist attack outside her hometown in which nine people were killed (in addition to a soldier killed in battle with the terrorists the next day).

Mazal's dream, both before the attack and immediately after she emerged from her coma, was to dance at her older brother's wedding, which was two nights ago. Her doctors said no - but a Zaka volunteer named Moti Buckchin said, "Let's try." He set up a satellite feed from the wedding to her hospital bed, enabling 14-year-old Mazal to "participate" in her brother's wedding - live.
