Moledet party head MK Benny Elon is working tirelessly to disseminate the idea of transfer-by-consent of the Arab population out of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. In an interview with the current edition of the weekly B'Sheva newspaper, he said that it's an idea whose time has come:

"I believe that we will win this war, even if it escalates further. But we must not allow it to end the way the Yom Kippur war ended, where the Arabs obtained at the negotiating table what they lost on the battlefield. We must be ready for the day after, and I feel that the ears of the Israeli public are now open to hear. A word like 'transfer' used to have connotations of illegality... but now people are willing to hear, and I refuse to miss this chance."

"There are U.S. Senators and British MPs with whom I have met," Elon said, "who are willing to go along with us on a type of agreed-upon transfer... but on condition that I am not just a passing fad without political backing." He explained, therefore, that his Moledet party would not run in the next election together with parties unwilling to agree to a form of transfer. "We must prove to the Israeli public and the entire world," Elon insists, "that the lexicon has changed. A Jew in the land of his forefathers does not get uprooted. The Arab, who is uprooted in any event and lives in a refugee camp, must find a solution as to how and where he will be re-settled."
