The State Prosecution has filed an appeal against a Jerusalem District Court ruling allowing a group of 50 French left-wing activists to remain in Israel. Interior Minister Eli Yeshai turned down their request to enter Israel two days ago, saying their activities would interfere with IDF operations. The group, however, staged a mini-riot, and the pilot of the plane scheduled to fly them out refused to allow them to board. They then appealed the ban, and the court ruled that they may remain in Israel but may not enter Yesha (Judea, Samaria and Gaza) without permission from the IDF. The court announced today that it will rule on the State's appeal only this coming Sunday.
