Palestinian Authority (PA) cabinet leader Mohammad Shtayyeh accuses the US administration of pressuring the PA both politically and economically.
Speaking at the start of the PA cabinet meeting on Monday, Shtayyeh said that US President Donald Trump had stopped economic aid to the PA and prevented several Arab countries from meeting their financial obligations to the PA, as part of a deliberate blackmail attempt to force the PA leadership to relinquish their national rights and Jerusalem in exchange for money.
"Those who have the right are strong and whoever has the will and faith in his homeland and who sticks to his land will not bargain over it in order to get money," said Shtayyeh, adding, "We will remain the guardians of the land and of the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
