A group of Jewish students from Poland recently made its first-ever visit to Israel. They were part of the Birthright program, which is fighting Jewish assimilation around the world by sponsoring trips to Israel for students who have not been here before. The Polish students were among 4,500 students from 14 countries who arrived on the program this summer, and 28,000 from 25 countries who have arrived since Birthright began 2.5 years ago. The students spend ten days visiting important Jewish historical sights and meeting Israelis of their own age. For more information, see "www.birthrightisrael.com" or "www.thelivnotexperience.com".
