An IDF Golani unit found a large cache of weapons and explosives in a building in Jenin early this morning. The supply included mortar shells, explosive materials, grenades, large bombs, and many bullets. The soldiers took the cache out of the building, and blew up the weapons and explosives some distance away...
The five Knesset Members of the National Religious Party toured much of the length of the planned route of the separation between Arab-populated areas of Yesha and the rest of Israel. The NRP still hopes to change the decision made by Prime Minister Sharon and Defense Minister Ben-Eliezer earlier this week to keep the planned route of the fence "as is" with no changes. Party leader Minister Effie Eitam had criticism today of Labor for "blackmailing" the government over the planned budget cuts: "It's time for strong economic leadership, and in general we support the new budget. We have some reservations, and we want certain changes, but we are not withholding our support. A government can't work that way."
