A Jordanian citizen was convicted Thursday for the attempted murder of two divers in Eilat a year and a half ago.
Taher Khalef attacked two Israeli dock workers with a hammer in November, 2018, moderately injuring them.
According to the indictment which was filed in December, 2018, Khalef wanted "to murder Israelis and Jews due to his identification with the Palestinian people, for Palestine and God, and as revenge for the occupation, with the intention of harming state security."
