MK Ariel Kallner (Likud) on Wednesday responded to Arutz Sheva's article on the letter sent by Jordan to Israel, demanding that Israel cease maintenance work at the Western Wall.
In the letter, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemned the continued work at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, referring to the site as the "Western Wall of the Al Aqsa Mosque," which is an "intrinsic part of Al Aqsa Mosque." A spokesman for Jordan's Foreign Ministry also claimed that the Jordanian Waqf has exclusive authority over the Western Wall.
"Sovereignty doesn't just bother them in Judea and Samaria," Kallner tweeted. "I suggest the Jordanian government not pull the rope too tightly."
"The Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel. Jerusalem is ours, the Western Wall is ours, the Temple Mount is ours, and Judea and Samaria are ours. Forever.
"It would be best for Jordan to find other things to busy itself with, and to worry about ensuring its continued sovereignty in its own land, before busying itself with the sovereignty of the Jewish nation in their land."
