The Tourism Ministry, Hotel Association, and Health Ministry have put together a plan to allow hotels to operate during the coronavirus crisis.
The plan includes a number of restrictions in addition to the regular restrictions, which aim to allow hotels to operate while maintaining the health of hotel staff and patrons.
Some of the guidelines include:
1. Registering guests both at hotel's entrance and at entrance to its cafeteria.
2. Strict enforcement of the requirement to wear masks throughout all areas of the hotel, including the cafeteria, lobby, and so on.
3. Police or municipal enforcement to be contacted immediately if guests fail to follow the instructions of hotel staff.
4. Entry to be banned for everyone other than hotel patrons. Security guards at hotel entrances to enforce this rule.
5. Strict separation of guests from hotel staff throughout the entire stay, from check-in to check-out, including when services are provided to guests. Rooms to be cleaned only when they are empty of guests.
6. Hotel bars and night clubs to be closed immediately.
7. Families to maintain two-meter social distancing regulations with one another in hotel lobby and cafeteria.
8. Extension of cafeteria hours: Breakfast to be served from 7:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., and supper from 6:00p.m. to 10:00p.m.
9. Limiting the diners in the cafeteria to 35% of the cafeteria's capacity. (This section requires government approval).
10. Seating area to be expanded during meal times, allowing guests to sit on the patio and in the garden areas.
11. Increased enforcement to ensure that masks are worn and guests maintain social distancing, including when waiting in line for food at meal times.
