Thousands of anti-Israel protesters rallied in demonstrations across the US, Wednesday, in what organizers dubbed a “day of rage”.
The demonstrations were held in support of similar rallies in the Palestinian Authority on Wednesday, denouncing Israeli plans to apply sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria.
Smaller protests were held in Brooklyn, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and in New Mexico, drawing thousands of demonstrators.
Approximately 2,000 demonstrators joined the Day of Rage protest in Brooklyn, during which speakers denounced not only Israel’s sovereignty plan, but the very existence of the State of Israel, calling the Jewish state a “genocidal” and calling for the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state “from the river to the sea”, with additional calls for “intifada” – or violent attacks on Israeli Jews.
“Genocide since ’48 - we don’t want your Jew-state,” chanted the crowd at one point.
“The land that Israel exists on has been stolen,” one speaker said. “The ’48 lands have still been stolen. Yes, Haifa and Tel Aviv. We don’t want to just go back to our homes in Gaza and the West Bank, we want all of it.”
Representatives of the radical anti-Zionist haredi group Neturei Karta also spoke at the Brooklyn rally, denouncing the State of Israel and Zionism.
“Zionism has stolen our religion and our identity and our name,” said Yisroel Dovid Weiss. “But they will not be successful.”
“We Jews cry and hurt with the Palestinians. We cry and hurt with the Palestinians.”
“We will never accept this criminal occupation. It will end in its entirety, because it is against the Almighty.”
At the Day of Rage protest in San Francisco, protesters gathered outside of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home, demanding she take a firmer stance against Israel’s sovereignty plan.
In Washington DC, protesters chanted "Israel, we know you - you murder children, too."
