The IDF is "thoroughly investigating" an incident yesterday in which Ha'aretz reporter Gideon Levy was shot at, though not hit, by soldiers as he entered the city of Tul Karem. Although the city was under curfew at the time, his visit had been approved beforehand by the IDF - but a soldier stationed at one of the guard posts didn't know it. Suspecting a terrorist in the vehicle, the soldier first fired a warning shot in the air, and a second shot at the car itself when it did not stop. No one was hurt, but the vehicle sustained some damage.
