Family members of the abducted soldiers in Lebanon met today with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and the man charged with overseeing the efforts to return the soldiers home, Gen. (res.) Ilan Biran. Sharon and Biran briefed them on the efforts that have been made thus far. The families are also scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Kofi Anan next week in New York. The matter of the abducted Israelis also arose in a meeting last night between Housing Minister Natan Sharansky and U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.
