The Histadrut national labor union has begun its three-hour warning strike, scheduled to last until 1 PM. The strike is in protest of the lack of a cost-of-living increase for salaried employees, despite the increasing rate of inflation. The union warns that if this demands in not met within two weeks, a full-fledged strike will result.

Today's strike affects government offices, regional and municipal councils, some health services, the Postal Authority, Bezeq Telephone Company, Mekorot Water Company, and others. Delays are to be expected in Ben-Gurion International Airport, but bus services will not be interrupted. Emergency services such as Magen David Adom and hospitals will operate on Sabbath schedules, but outpatient clinics will be shut down.
