The Cabinet on Friday approved an amendment to the Emergency Regulations on the holding of cultural events, following a decision by the “Coronavirus Cabinet” on Wednesday.
As part of the decision, it will be permitted for performances, concerts, theaters and film screenings to be held at a capacity of up to 75% and with no more than 250 people in attendance. Subject to special permits, up to 500 people will be able to attend cultural events.
At this time, performances with the crowd standing will not be permitted, nor will events which include dancing by the audience be permitted. The new regulations will take effect immediately.
Under the new conditions, it will be required to wear a mask throughout the entire performance or film, and no breaks will be allowed. The sale of tickets will be done in advance, by telephone or digital orders, for marked seats only.
The phone numbers of the audience will be kept for 20 days, and will be forwarded to the Ministry of Health only in the event that a coronavirus patient is discovered at the place of the event.
