Several Arab terrorists, using a nearby abandoned house as cover, began shooting at a group of Israeli surveyors working near the entrance to Dugit in northern Gaza. One of the Israelis was hit by at least five bullets and was taken to the hospital in moderate to serious condition, but soldiers who arrived on the scene returned fire and apparently killed both terrorists - although it is possible, the army reported, that one of them got away. The terrorists were armed with a powerful bomb. The abandoned house was demolished by an IDF bulldozer.
