Salah Bradwill, a senior Hamas official and a member of the organization's political staff, expressed concern that the Palestinian Authority would try to find another opportunity to renew negotiations with Israel, even after Israel applied sovereignty to areas of Judea and Samaria.

In an interview with Hamas' Falastin newspaper Bradwill said that Israeli sovereignty would not allow the creation of a Palestinian state, nor would it allow autonomy. Rather, the "Palestinian" area would be part of the Civil Administration belonging to the "Israeli occupation."

He also claimed that the "evil root" is in the Oslo Accords, under which the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) recognized 78% of Israel's "occupation" and left just 22% of "Palestine" (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) up for negotiation.

The heart of the problem, he said, is in the "conquering of Palestinian lands [the existence of the State of Israel] and the recognition of the occupation of the lands."

The "Palestinian nation," he said, has the right to fight the occupation by any means necessary, whether by military means or diplomatic means, and the battle against Israel is an existential battle connected to the very existence of the "occupation" on "Palestinian lands."
