An Israeli mother of two was murdered and her husband seriously wounded, when an armed Arab infiltrated the Jordan valley community of Mechora and began firing in all directions just after 10PM, last night. The Arab succeeded in penetrating Mechora’s electronic security fence, and shot the couple as they were driving in their car. Another Mechora resident was seriously injured before the commander of the community’s Nahal Hareidi infantry unit arrived and shot the terrorist dead.
Yasser Arafat’s Fatah terror gang took responsibility for the attack. While the name of the slain victim is not yet available for publication, it is known that she leaves behind children aged three and three-months-old. Security officials have praised the quick response of the Nahal Hareidi unit for preventing an even greater tragedy.
