Three security guards charged with guarding the Prime Minister's Residence from the outside have tested positive for COVID-19.
The three were diagnosed during routine testing. An epidemiological investigation was conducted, and security staff who came in contact with the three were tested for coronavirus as well, and tested negative.
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu tested negative for coronavirus earlier this week. He is not required to self-isolate, since the affected security guards did not come in contact with him.
On Saturday evening, the Israeli Health Ministry announced that 177 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus since Friday, and the total number of active cases currently stands at 3,315.
Of those, 35 people are in serious condition and 26 are on ventilators. A full 15, 357 Israelis have recovered from coronavirus.
