Hundreds of Israeli Arab residents of Jaffa marched in the city on Tuesday evening to protest the death of Iyad al-Halak, a young man with special needs from eastern Jerusalem, who was accidentally shot by police after he was suspected of being a terrorist.

The protest march became a violent riot and the police had to disperse the marchers using protest dispersal means.

The marchers hoisted PLO flags and during the march and flares were fired into the air. Police fired stun grenades and arrested one of the protesters who set fire to a dumpster.

At the same time, rioters threw rocks at a bus that was stuck on a street and smashed its windows. Cops rescued the driver and took him to a safe place.

In Jerusalem, Jewish and Arab protesters held a demonstration following the death of Al-Halak near ​​Safra Square. Six protesters who tried to block the path of the Light Rail were arrested.

During the demonstration in Jerusalem, the protesters exclaimed: "Amir Ohana resign, Iyad's blood is not abandoned", "Netanyahu is a coward, Arab blood is not abandoned" and "Police officer, who do you guard". In addition, the protesters waved signs that read: "Release the footage" and "Autistic people are shot here."
