New ministers in the large government created by Binyamin Netanyahu have, despite the coronavirus crisis recently approached the Treasury with demands for offices, vehicles and other items. The requests have been referred to the Prime Minister's Office.

Journalists Tal Schneider and Amiram Barkat reported on the Globes website that in the Treasury, the ministers explained that in light of the economic situation, they do not know the scope of each minister's office in terms of the normal standards, and so asked Ronan Peretz, Acting Director General of the Prime Minister's Office, to organize the requests into a neat list.

The report said that Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz requested two Audi A8 vehicles, which are undergoing special adjustments to meet the requirements to serve as the prime minister's convoy. It is estimated that the cost of each vehicle is NIS 800,000, and with the necessary security additions, the cost grow by up to four times.

The Treasury is having difficulty meeting the requirements, but due to pressure will have to issue a special order for vehicles needed by the alternate prime minister in the coming days.
