An employee at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has tested positive for the coronavius, Channel 13 News reported Monday evening.
The employee comes into contact with Prime Minister Netanyahu. An investigation will be conducted to determine when the employee last met with Netanyahu or members of his staff and whether the prime minister or anyone else needs to enter self-isolation.
The Prime Minister's Office said in response that "a Prime Minister's Office employee tested positive for coronavirus. At this time, an epidemiological investigation is being carried out at the end of which appropriate guidelines will be given to those who come in contact with him."
Netanyahu had previously entered isolation in March after after one of his advisers, Rivka Paluch, was diagnosed with the coronavirus. He went into isolation again in early April after then-Health Minister Yaakov Litzman tested positive for the coronavirus.
