Despite the massive amounts of weapons that have been smuggled from Egypt to the PA via Rafiach, the IDF today removed its forces separating the southern Gaza town from the rest of the PA. Gaza has in fact been the site of renewed violence over the past day, including grenades at an IDF outpost, an exchange of fire with terrorists near Gadid, two mortar shells near Kfar Darom, and shots at the N'vei Dekalim industrial zone. No one was hurt in these incidents.

The IDF destroyed four homes of suicide terrorists last night and today, including three houses near Bethlehem and another in the Shechem region. Army forces also arrested close to 20 Arab terrorist suspects in various Yesha areas. A soldier was flown to a hospital after he was moderately wounded by Arab gunfire last night in the Shechem area. In the north: Hizbullah again fired at Israeli aircraft, on the eastern sector of Israel's border with Lebanon. Shrapnel fell in Kfar Yuval, but no one was hurt.

Jordan Valley residents spent the night locked in their homes after Jordan reported to Israel that it had spotted five suspicious figures in the area of their common border. Both Israel and Jordan called out large forces to check the area, and around 11 PM, two hours after the original report, Jordan reported the finding of a car full of combat material. It later announced the capture of one terrorist. No signs of infiltration into Israel were found, and the Israeli search was called off today. A woman tried to stab an IDF soldier in Hevron today; she had been arrested - and released - a few days ago on suspicion of having planned to commit a suicide attack.
