One person was killed in an accident at a construction site in central Israel Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at a construction site on HaZeitim Street in the city of Givat Shmuel, about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) east of Tel Aviv, when a construction worker in his 40s fell from a height of eight stories, dying on impact.
Emergency medical responders were called to the scene, but were forced to declare the worker dead.
United Hatzalah volunteer Paramedic Benzi Eisenman, who was one of the first responders at the scene, said: "A worker fell from a height of eight stories while working at the construction site. With great sadness we were forced to pronounce his death due to the severity of the injuries that he sustained.”
