
For the first time, presidential candidate Joe Biden has denied a sexual assault allegation leveled against him by Tara Reade. Reade was working as an aide for Biden at the time while he served in the Senate. "I can say categorically that I did not engage in sexual assault. It never happened," Biden said. Biden made the statement in response to being questioned directly on the matter during an MSNBC news program.
Biden has a history of making inappropriate contact with women. However, he stated at the start of his campaign for president that this behavior was more acceptable in a previous era and that he had changed.
