Volunteer Doctors To Arrive In Israel
(Updated Monday 10 AM) Twenty-two physicians from North America and South Africa are to arrive in Israel today on a study tour of IDF and Israeli civilian emergency facilities. The tour will allow medical personnel to express solidarity with the people of Israel while at the same time learning about the Israeli emergency medicine system. The doctors have also volunteered to step in and replace Israeli physicians in civilian hospitals should they be called to their military units in an emergency situation. The program is being organized by the Jewish Agency’s T’nuat Aliyah initiative along with the Israel Defense Forces Medical Corps, and is being coordinated with the American Physicians Fellowship (APF) in Israel.
