
A spokesman for the Israeli Police said that to date, police have handed out 26,000 fines for violations of orders in the fight against the coronavirus.
Police said on Sunday that since the beginning of the fight against the coronavirus in Israel, 176 investigations have been opened on suspicion of violations of isolation orders, intentional spread of the virus, as well as 47 additional investigations of suspected dissemination of 'Fake News.'
So far, about 88,670 quarantine inspections have been carried out, 26,585 fines registered and closure orders issued for 123 businesses for violating the Ministry of Health's instructions.
Arutz Sheva News reported that as of 12:00 pm today, dozens of police roadblocks have been deployed at all entrances and exits of restricted areas in Jerusalem.
Hundreds of police officers are working to enforce emergency regulations and apply additional regulations on the ground, employing drones and lookouts for exceptional control and detection.
