The number of coronavirus fatalities in Israel rose on Saturday to 97, after a 91-year-old woman died of the virus in Sheba Medical Center.
So far, Israel has confirmed 10,525 coronavirus cases, 1,258 of whom have recovered.
The Health Ministry emphasized that 180 patients are in serious condition - not 191, as some news outlets mistakenly reported on Saturday morning - and 132 are on ventilators.
Meanwhile, 783 people died in New York since Friday, bringing the state's total to 8.627. However, Governor Andrew Cuomo said that there are less people hospitalized due to the virus than there were previously.
In Italy, the number of dead rose by 619, bringing the country's total to 19.468, local authorities said. Another 4,694 people were diagnosed with the virus, bringing the total confirmed cases to 152,271.
