IDF troops operating in PLO-controlled Shechem uncovered four bomb laboratories over the weekend. One of the labs contained a ready-to-launch Kassam rocket. In addition, a variety of weapons and explosive materials were found in all locations including pipe bombs, detonators, guns, bullets, gas canisters, knives and grenades. All of the laboratories were destroyed in controlled explosions.



Over 100 Arabs have been taken in for questioning since the start of the operation early Friday morning. In addition, troops arrested several wanted Arabs. Yesterday a soldier in Shechem was hospitalized with light injuries when Arabs targeted him with a firebomb.



Also in Shechem today, Arabs detonated explosives under an army vehicle traveling near the Casba section of the city. One soldier was moderately wounded, and two others sustained light injuries.
