Palestinians also initiated gun battles this morning at an IDF outpost near N\'vei Dekalim in Gush Katif and south of Ramallah. An Israeli-Arab was shot and killed in the latter battle; he approached the checkpoint and did not respond to army calls to stop; he continued driving even after shots were fired in the air and at his tires. Col. Ilan Paz, Binyamin Region Commander, is investigating the incident. Another violent riot took place in Al-Hader, just north of Efrat and Gush Etzion, where dozens of Arabs attacked soldiers. The latter shot rubber bullets in an attempt to control the mob, killing one and wounding two.
