Police forces arrived in the Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem on Sunday to ensure that business owners were following the Ministry of Health's guidelines regarding coronavirus prevention.
All of the businesses visited by the police officers were found to be in compliance with the regulations.
Three individuals were arrested for taking part in a gathering of over ten people and a fine of NIS 5,000 was levied from each of them.
At one point, several protesters threw stones at the police. One policeman was lightly injured.
To date, 47 police reports have been filed in Israel, most of them for refusing to disperse from prohibited gatherings, and closure orders have been issued to 18 businesses that were found to be in violation of the guidelines.
The police are calling on the public to heed the instructions of the Ministry of Health, in order to arrest the spread of coronavirus.
