Late last night crews entered the Rafiach area on Israel's southern Mediterranean coastal region and destroyed several homes used by Arab gunmen to fire on Israeli soldiers and civilians. One Arab was killed during the operation.

In addition, soldiers tore down the house of the Islamic Jihad suicide bomber who carried out the March 4, 2001 attack on Herzl Street in Netanya that claimed the lives of three Israelis.
