"They're animals, and should be destroyed." So said today the father of Shani Ladani, 27, of Moshav Olesh (between Netanya and Tul Karem), who was tied up and shot to death this morning by Palestinian murderers in an industrial park west of Tul Karem. "They both kill us and humiliate us," his father sobbed.

Shani's father said that his son knew the work in the industrial zone with many Arabs was dangerous, but felt he had no choice because of the "bad economic situation." "It was a lynching," said IDF Yesha Commander Brig.-Gen. Gershon Yitzchak. "They tied him up and shot him from close range, simply because he was a Jew."

Gen. Yitzchak said that the murderers took advantage of the temporary lifting of the closure on PA cities. Israel's intention was to allow Arab residents to purchase supplies, but the terrorists used the time to search out and murder a Jewish victim. Rabbi Yitzchak Levy, a government minister from the National Religious Party (NRP), said today, “The easing of restrictions are abused, and contribute nothing towards calming the situation... There is no place for easing restrictions in the midst of a terrorist wave."
