
The counting of votes in the elections for the 23rd Knesset continues, and as of 6:05 a.m. on Wednesday morning, 94.15% of the votes had been counted.
The results so far show that the Likud is the largest party in the Knesset with 36 seats, Blue and White has 32, and the predominantly Arab Joint List is the third largest party with 16 seats.
Shas wins 9 seats, United Torah Judaism - 7, Labor-Gesher-Meretz - 7, Yisrael Beytenu - 7 and Yamina - 6.
The right-wing bloc has 58 seats and the center-left has 55.
The picture may change after the counting of the so-called “double envelopes”, which contain the votes of soldiers, prisoners, and diplomats, among others, by the staff of the committee.
The Central Elections Committee on Tuesday began typing the names on the “double envelopes” in preparation for those votes to be counted.
