(Updated Wednesday 9:45 AM) GSS (General Security Service – Shin/Bet) Director Avi Dichter told the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee yesterday, that his agency has intelligence information on at least 60 Arab terrorist attacks in the works. Dichter added that the GSS has thwarted 12 attacks this week alone. As if on cue, security officials last night arrested a female would-be suicide bomber, and an accomplice in the Ramallah district. Dichter also expressed support for the government’s security fence, which will divide Israeli cities from PLO-controlled areas. According to GSS figures, Arabs have murdered 585 Israelis in 139 terror attacks since the beginning of the Oslo War in September 2000.
In other war news, an IDF force operating in Jenin uncovered a bomb factory containing over 100 kilograms of explosives. The factory was destroyed... Yesterday evening Arabs hurled grenades at soldiers stationed at the Tarmit Outpost in southern Gaza. There were no reports of injuries… Arabs targeted soldiers operating in the Jenin district with two bombs last night. One officer was taken to an area hospital with light injuries.
