An eight-year-old boy was critically injured on Saturday when the ATV he was riding in overturned on Route 204, between Dimona and Yeruham.
A 19-year old man was also injured in the accident and is in moderate condition. The two were evacuated by a Magen David team to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva.
"When we arrived at the site, we saw the ATV with its front half in a ditch and the injured parties lying next to it," MDA paramedic Barak Wittenberg said. "The boy was unconscious, wasn't breathing and without a pulse. We performed advanced and prolonged resuscitation activities. During the evacuation to the hospital, his heart began beating again and his condition slightly stabilized. The young man who was with him in the vehicle was treated on-site and was also evacuated to the hospital in moderate condition."
Around the same time, a 40-year-old man was seriously injured when his ATV overturned in the Haifa area. MDA staff evacuated him to Rambam Hospital.
Earlier Saturday, a 35-year-old man suffered a serious head injury in a car accident on Highway 6 in the Nitzanei Oz area of Eyal Interchange. A Magen David Adom team administered emergency treatment and evacuated him unconscious and on a respirator to Beilinson Hospital.
