IDF bulldozers, backed up by tank shelling, entered Palestinian-controlled Rafiah yesterday and destroyed a PA police post 200 meters from the border. The station had been the source of constant shooting at Israeli soldiers along the Egyptian border. The action was taken under Palestinian fire, but the Israel force suffered no casualties.
Early this morning, Palestinian terrorists shot at IDF targets near Kiryat Arba and Beit Haggai. Later, others shot at Israeli forces near Gadid in Gaza. Around noon, an IDF force in Hawara, south of Shechem, was shot at. Later in the afternoon, shots were fired towards the N\'vei Dekalim industrial zone, and then towards an IDF force near Kerem Shalom, close to the Israeli-Egyptian-PA border. IDF soldiers returned fire in the latter case. No one was hurt in these incidents.
