(Updated Monday 9:30 AM) Israeli troops patrolling in northern Gush Katif prevented a potential terrorist attack this morning, Two heavily armed Arabs were seen making their way towards a Jewish community when the soldiers opened fire on them. During an ensuing exchange of gunfire the Arabs were killed while the soldiers sustained minor wounds. In addition, an Arab-launched mortar shell landed near a northern Gush Katif Jewish community, without causing injuries or damage.



In other war news, Arabs detonated several bombs against Jewish targets throughout the Shomron without causing injuries.
