Two Israelis, a 29-year-old and a 35-year-old, suspected of raping a tourist in Crete, have been released from custody.
They emerged from court wrapped in a tallit.
Attorney Kobi Kamar, a lawyer for the Israelis, claimed that the young woman who complained against them has disappeared from the Cyprus island.
"This is a sting; she tried to blackmail them," the lawyer told Channel 13. He added that the two young men "will be in Israel tonight."
Local police have confirmed the release of the two.
