The Christian Coalition, an American group outspoken in its positions against U.S. domestic matters such as abortion and the homosexual agenda, has decided to \"go foreign.\" At its Road to Victory convention in Washington three months from now, the group will also sponsor a \"Christian Support for Israel\" rally opposing the establishment of a Palestinian state. Over 100,000 Christian friends of Israel, including Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Rep. Tom Delay (R-Texas), Alan Keyes, Pat Robertson and others, are expected to participate. Jewish leaders were not invited to speak at the gathering, to emphasize the solely-Christian nature of this show of support for Israel.
A strong supporter of US President Bush in the last election, the Christian Coalition also plans to ask that the U.S. Embassy be immediately moved to Jerusalem - as per Bush\'s election commitments - and that Jerusalem remain the \"undivided\" capital of Israel. Another concern of the group is the ongoing harassment of Christians in PA territories. The Christian Coalition said in a statement that it is \"committed to Israel\'s survival... You can have a Palestinian state or you can have a Jewish state. You cannot have both.\"
