Last night was a night of mortar shells in Gush Katif, on Israel\'s southern Mediterranean coast, yet no one was hurt. Seven PLO-fired shells landed in one community last night, causing heavy damage to one of the caravans. Afterwards, a mortar shell landed several yards from a group of women in one of the towns, but failed to explode. Security officials say that if the shell had exploded, the results would have been catastrophic.



An Arab teenager was apprehended yesterday after attempting to stab a Border Guard policeman near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron. There were no injuries during his attack.
