(Updated Sunday 10 AM) IDF reservists on Saturday, operating near the PLO-Controlled town of Kalkilya, thwarted a major terrorist attack, when they prevented Arabs from driving an explosives-laden car into pre-1967 Israel. The soldiers spotted the suspicious vehicle making its way towards the Kalkilya/Kfar Sava junction and fired warning shots at the car, at which point the three Arabs inside the car fled on foot back towards Kalkilya. Soldiers later inspected the vehicle, which had yellow Israeli license plates, and found four power bombs, gas canisters containing inflammable liquid, and nails. Troops safely detonated the bombs by firing a tank shell at the car, setting off the explosives.
