The army plans to crack down on soldiers who don\'t show up. A new decision by the Personnel Corps stipulates that soldiers who do not show up in their units after Shabbat or vacation will be considered \"deserters\" after 24 hours. Until now, the grace period was two weeks, after which time the Military Police entered the picture and imprisoned the missing soldiers. The police will now begin searching for them with the purpose of incarceration after 24 hours.
