(Updated 10:15 AM) IDF soldiers yesterday, arrested over 20 Arabs in the PLO-controlled village of Beit Rima, north of Ramallah. Many of those apprehended were wanted by security officials for involvement in terrorism. Another two Arabs were arrested last night in the Hevron district.
An IDF soldier this morning was severely wounded by Arab gunfire near the Egyptian border in southern Gaza. He was airlifted to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva and is listed in critical condition.
In other war news, Arabs launched several mortar shells at Gush Katif communities early this morning… Soldiers were targeted by gunfire last near Gadid in Gush Katif… Police last night were searching for three Arab suspects who tried to stab a Jewish man on the Haas pedestrian promenade in Jerusalem’s Armon HaNatziv neighborhood. No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.
