Efrat Council Head Oded Revivi, who holds the YESHA Council's Foreign Policy portfolio, on Monday morning responded to US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman's remark that Israel has the right to annex at least some parts of Judea and Samaria.
According to Revivi, Friedman's remarks are a natural continuation of US President Donald Trump's policies, which leave the ball in Israel's court and allow Israel to decide which path to take.
"Just last week, we marked 52 years from the end of the SIx Day War, after which we returned to the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria," Revivi said.
"Over the years, the settlement enterprise has seen ups and downs, but now, when we have a supportive and encouraging administration backing us, it seems that the big problem is not between the US, Israel, and the settlements, but the fact that Israel itself has not yet decided.
"Many parts of Israel's leadership are still stuck in the argument from 25 years ago regarding whether we should have one country for two peoples or two countries, and they're not trying to find another solution, a more creative solution. It's time Israel decided its future and it's good that we have a friendly power like the US working with us."
