Close to 200 families and groups from Yesha (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) spent this past Sabbath in various cities throughout Israel, for a \"Land of Israel Sabbath.\" The purpose, according to Malachi Levinger of Hevron, was to \"strengthen our bonds with the Land of Israel, and to reinforce the ties with the concept of settling the Land amongst the population of the rest of Israel.\" He said that via visits and discussions of this nature throughout the past year, \"we have reached dozens of towns and cities, and thousands of people. Many people have come to visit Yesha, and many have even come to live here... In times such as these, when the security situation is complex, we feel that the proper path is to remind ourselves of our roots...\"
