Egyptian security officials prevented heavily armed Palestinians from smuggling weapons into PA-controlled Gaza yesterday afternoon. The Egyptians spotted the men heading for the border and opened fire. After an exchange of gunfire the Palestinians fled leaving behind 42,000 rounds of ammunition, 162 gun magazines and many other assorted weapons.
In other war news, Arabs this morning shot and lightly wounded a motorist traveling between the Shomron communities of Sanur and Dotan… Soldiers stationed near the Gush Katif community of N\'vei Dekalim were targeted by gunfire last night. No injuries were reported… IDF forces apprehended four wanted Arabs in the Abu Dis neighborhood, bordering the capital.
