Jerusalem\'s southeastern neighborhood of Gilo was the scene of a long battle last night between IDF soldiers and the Palestinian para-military force. The army used tanks; no one was hurt.
Yesterday, a Beit El resident escaped injuries when terrorist gunfire hit his car near Ma\'aleh Levonah, in the Shilo region. One of the bullets entered the front-right window and exited through the front windshield. The man\'s son was moderately wounded in a similar attack in western Binyamin three months ago... A Bedouin laborer was lightly wounded yesterday when terrorists in Gaza fired into Kibbutz Nir Oz inside the Green Line... A motorist was lightly injured when Arabs threw rocks at his car yesterday afternoon south of Bethlehem... Palestinians shot at soldiers east of the Erez Checkpoint and near Rachel\'s Tomb. Soldiers returned automatic weapons fire, backed up by tank fire, in the latter incident... Shortly afterwards, IDF soldiers were attacked by terrorist gunfire north of Bethlehem near the Tunnels Highway connecting Gush Etzion to southern Jerusalem. No one was hurt, but the road was closed to traffic.
