Intelligence sources in the U.S. and Europe say that Hizbullah is now cooperating with Al-Qaeda. The Washington Post reports today that the two organizations jointly train young terrorists for future attacks, launder money, smuggle arms, and forge documents. The paper notes that though the cooperation is on an ad-hoc basis, and is not of a formal nature, it is of great concern to senior American officials. They feel that it will enable the limping Al-Qaeda to improve its offensive capabilities against American targets.
